Kate Winslet reflects on working with Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic.
The 1997 film, directed by James Cameron, is one of the most iconic historical romances and dramas ever put on screen. In December 2022, Titanic celebrated its 25th anniversary and was re-released in theaters the following February.
In a new report, Titanic: Stories from the heartOn the bonus disc of the film’s 4K Ultra HD release, Kate talked about how she and Leo built their chemistry.

“Once I started working with Leo, we were able to find our own rhythm. And it’s amazing to look back and think about it again,” he said, according to ET.
Kate recalled that she “connected immediately, right away” with Leo. “It was kind of a mess with long, thin, uncoordinated limbs. And he was very free with himself and had this effervescent energy that was really magnetic. And I remember thinking, ‘Oh, this is going to be fun.’ We’ll definitely get along.’ And we really did it. “We really did.”
