Karnail Rana is an Indian singer from Himachal Pradesh. He is known for his Himachali folk songs. His first cassette ‘Chambe Patne Do Bediyan’ came in the year 1989.

Karnail Rana was born on Tuesday, 30 April 1963 (age 59 years; as in 2022) in village Rakwal Lad, Upper Ghallour, Tehsil Jwalamukhi, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. He did his schooling from Government High School, Ghallur and completed his graduation from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla in 1986. Karnail Rana passed folk music singing examination in B-grade from All India Radio Station, Shimla. He has also graduated in Journalism and Mass Communication from Kota, Rajasthan. His father was also interested in singing, so he also became interested in folk music. He is now settled in Subhash Nagar, Upper Sakoh, Dharamshala.
