Karan V Grover was born on Tuesday, 22 June 1982 (age 41 years; as in 2023) in Mumbai. His zodiac sign is Cancer. He did his schooling from St. Xavier’s High School, Mumbai and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Vidyalaya, Mumbai. After completing his schooling, he did chemical engineering from Bombay Institute of Technology. Reportedly, he failed in the final year of engineering but later passed in the second attempt. After engineering, Karan did a professional event management course from the National Institute of Event Management, Pune. Later, he worked as an event manager for Omung Kumar’s event management company in 2002. In 2004, he participated in the Gladrags Manhunt competition and was one of the top 5 finalists.

- Kavita Kaushik: Reportedly, Karan Grover dated SAB TV’s FIR fame Chandramukhi Chautala aka Kavita Kaushik. The two participated in the dance reality show, Nach Baliye Season 3 as a couple. However, this relationship did not last long. Talking about his failed relationship with Kavita in an interview, Karan said,
A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then, I had a great time when I was with him but we parted ways without any hard feelings.’
In an interview, when Kavita was asked about her ex-boyfriend Karan, she said that she does not even remember his face and she has not even seen Karan on television, because she does not watch much TV. He made his television debut in 2004 with the lead role of Arjun Goenka in the show Saarthi, aired on Star Plus. Later, he appeared in several shows, including Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni (2007–08), Woh Rahen Waali Mahalon Ki (2007–09), Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli (2009–12), Hum Aapke Hain In Laws (2013) are included. ), and Punar Vivah (2013) etc.

In 2007, she participated in Star Plus’ dance reality show, Nach Baliye 3, along with Kavita Kaushik. According to Karan, he is not a big fan of reality shows. In an interview he said,
I cannot participate in reality shows. After some time they become boring. It was only after a lot of persuasion that I worked in Nach Baliye. In 2019, Grover played the role of Dr. Rohit Sippy in Star Plus’ Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum opposite Deepika Kakkar. In 2021, Karan met his neighbor Ravi Dubey, who was looking for an actor for his show, Udaariyaan, which aired on Colors. Everything went well for Karan and he got Angad Mann’s part in the show. Sharing his thoughts in an interview about his role in Udaiyaan, Karan said,
Ravi and Sargun are not only good friends but also very entrepreneurial people. So as an actor, if you get an opportunity to collaborate with your friends and create something together, you should not let that opportunity go. I feel blessed to be a part of his first show ‘Udaariyaan’ and carry forward this beautiful journey. As far as my role is concerned, Angad is a complex but dynamic and fun character. I think his presence in ‘Udaariyaan’ will create a new layer to the story of the show which will definitely bring a conflict for the audience to enjoy. I am grateful to Colors for giving me this amazing opportunity as this is my first show with them, and it couldn’t have been better.”
In an interview, when Karan was asked about his future prospects in films, he replied,
Why do I need to do films when I am getting to do such good work on TV? TV is providing me with a lot of variety. On the other hand, films are undoubtedly a big medium, but I am not being offered anything interesting, so I am happy being a TV actor. The only thing I have missed is doing full comedy. But my current show is giving me that too, so no complaints. Thankfully, the scope of TV has become much wider now. Now you will not be able to watch the same saas-bahu sagas on TV. There is a lot of variety in it which satisfies the actor in me.”

In 2018, she did Vikram Bhatt’s web series Spotlight 2, which aired on Viu. In an interview, Grover said,
This web series gave me a chance to change my image as an actor. Till now, I have never played the role of a person who has so many emotional ups and downs throughout the show.
He further expressed his opinion about his character in Spotlight 2 and said,
He is a musician who reaches the pinnacle of success and then falls under the influence of drugs to a level where his life is in danger.’
He was also featured as Shlok in the web series Vodka Shots in 2018.

Controversy
In 2007, Karan Grover, who played the lead character in the TV show ‘Sarthi’ (Star Plus), suddenly stepped away from the show. His character was killed in the serial. It was shown to the audience that this was a twist as per the natural progression of the show’s track, while removing Karan from the show was a strategic move. Karan told in an interview,
I have been on this since the beginning of ‘Sarathi’. But I had to move forward. My new show ‘Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni’ did not give me much time for ‘Saarthi’. So I decided to leave it. I told its producer Asit Modi about my problem and thankfully he understood. So, they decided to kill my character. I gave two months’ notice from March 10 to May 15 so that there is no discord between us.
Although everything was fine in Karan’s opinion, the show’s producer Asit Modi did not like Karan’s choice. Asit Modi said in an interview,
No one can tell me my priorities. I will not compromise with my story. If the story demands then Karan will have to come back to the show. “We can bring him back.”
He added,
My story is strong and people will not stop watching the show just because Karan is no longer a part of the show. In fact, the TRP of Sarathi is much more than that of Meri Awaaz…”
