The surprises continued to mount after Chrishell provided a breakup date that was four months away from the date provided by Justin. Justin stated that the couple separated on July 8, 2019, while Stause noted that the split occurred on November 22, 2019. Justin’s date seemed strange because the couple appeared publicly on several occasions after July 8.
Their date put forward the theory that the couple tried to work out their issues, but were unsuccessful, and Justin filed for divorce. TMZ reported that Stause thought Justin wanted to get her out of a big-money deal that was delivered to her after the date listed on the divorce. It’s unclear if Stause’s claims were true, but money was an issue during the divorce.
TMZ reported that Stause asked for spousal support, but Justin did not want to pay. It’s unclear what the couple agreed to when they finalized their divorce, but Stause told him Cosmopolitan that the separation hit her hard. She also claimed that part of the saga of her was featured on her reality show, Selling Sunset. She said:
“This is still new for me trying to adjust to something so uncomfortable, but unfortunately yes, the cameras were there. I still had a month of shooting to go when my personal life exploded. It is not something comfortable to live in front of everyone”.
Stause is looking to further her career after the split.
