Kamlesh Nanasaheb Ghumre was born in 1996 (age 27 years; as of 2022) in Dewarpade, Malegaon, Maharashtra. He did his schooling from NS Deshmukh Vidyalaya Chikhal o – Malegaon, Maharashtra. He dropped out of BCA 2nd year from Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad College, Malegaon, Maharashtra.

After facing some setbacks in his career, he started a small hotel in his hometown, but soon he had to close the hotel permanently. Talking about this in a talk show he said,
I started a hotel in my hometown, everything was going well. But one day my friends took my phone and called an unknown girl. The matter became serious and a big controversy arose. People started judging my character. Everyone in the village used to taunt my parents about my character. But my parents supported me, they had faith in me that I would never do anything wrong. My mother once told me that we are so confident that you will do something great that these people who are taunting us will come to us to help you.’
After this Kamlesh started working as a farmer with his father. One day, while he was working there, he noticed that the pesticides they sprayed in the fields were causing serious health problems to his father. He shared the entire incident in an interview. He said,
One day when I was in the fields I saw that my father was spraying pesticides and because of the pesticides he developed many skin diseases, but he never complained about it. But I decided to do something for my father and the rest of the farmers of the country. I thought of simplifying the process. I was no engineer, but I had a plan to go to nearby scrap shops to get some spare parts or scrap. Initially, it was like a bicycle structure and not very efficient, but gradually I continued adding elements to it and changing it as per the needs.
It took him about 7 years to make the pesticide trolley cart. In 2012, he uploaded a video of his trolley cart on YouTube which went viral on social media. He also received offers from various companies to sell his product, but he rejected the offer.
In 2021, he watched the promo of the TV show ‘Shark Tanks’ on his mobile. After seeing the advertisement, his brother-in-law asked him to participate in the show. After several rounds of auditions, he appeared before the judges (as the Sharks are called in the show) in 2022 along with his brother’s son Naru. In his voice he said,
Hamare muhna mein, aankh mein ye pesticide gen se malaise hoti ho to mere papa ko bhi ye baari thi (These pesticides cause diseases by going into our mouth and eyes. My father also had this disease).”
When a shark asked him why he didn’t choose a job at the company, he replied,
If I do a job, I will be someone’s slave for 24 hours, and we are farmers, we do not want to be anyone’s slave. someone’s slave)
Their idea and pitch were appreciated by the judges, but the investment proposal was rejected by four judges (Sharks) Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Vinita Singh and Ghazal Alagh and only Piyush Bansal, co-founder and CEO of Lenskart, accepted the proposal. accepted. , Piyush offered him Rs. Rs 10 lakh and loan for 40% stake in Kamlesh’s company ‘KG Agrotech’. 20 lakh at zero percent interest rate.
A few days after the show, he was called by Piyush Bansal to his home in Delhi and discussed the product. He shared an Instagram live video with Piyush in which he talked about launching the product in the market.
Kamlesh has also tried his luck in acting and has appeared in some Marathi web series like ‘Patang Premacha’.

- In his teens, he wanted to join the Indian Army, attempting the entrance exam several times, but gave up preparing for it after fracturing two of his toes. After the fracture he remained bedridden for a few months.
