Jon Taffer is an American businessman and television personality. Jon Taffer is best recognized for hosting the reality series Bar Rescue on the Paramount Network and Face the Truth on CBS with Vivica A. Fox.
Early life
Taffer was born Jonathan Peter Taffer in Great Neck, New York, USA, on November 7, 1954. He was born to Russian Jewish parents and has American nationality. However, this businessman has not revealed any information about his parents and siblings.

Jon first worked as a bartender for Barney’s Beanery in West Hollywood in 1973 while performing as a drummer in a band. His first career as a bar manager was at The Troubadour nightclub in West Hollywood in 1978.
Furthermore, in 1981 he was given full control of the bar, where staff theft was commonplace. In 1989, as owner, he opened his first bar. In 1989 he patented a device and method for selecting and playing music.
He is credited with creating the NFL Sunday Ticket paid programming package, which launched in 1994 and was instrumental in the marketing, distribution and sales programs of that effort. To this end, he served on the board of directors of NFL Enterprises for three years.
In 2010, Nightclub and Bar Media Group appointed him president. It is a division of Questex Media Group, which is responsible for Nightclub & Bar magazine, as well as the annual Nightclub & Bar convention and trade show.
