JoJo Siwa is “the luckiest girl”, but her fans don’t seem to feel the same way. The all-around and social media sensation recently introduced her new lover on TikTok, and that’s exactly what her fans predicted. She confirmed her new relationship with Avery Cyrus, her longtime partner. But while the revelation may not surprise her most ardent supporters, it certainly angered them. And it seems it has nothing to do with Siva, but with Cyrus.

Siwa went public with her romance with Cyrus on September 13, 2022 through TikTok, which broke the internet. Siwa captioned the video, which shows the two happily taking beautiful pictures in a video game photography booth, “Lucky girl”. She interspersed the video with photos from the booth, one of which shows the two kissing.
This post comes just days after Cyrus took her own Instagram photos, most of which were with Siwa. Siwa and Cyrus have been working together on TikTok for a long time. However, before the aforementioned TikTok, neither of them publicly mentioned their burgeoning romance. On September 4, 2022, they even released a lip sync video in which they joked that they were “pure”.

While Siwa, who self-identifies as ‘gay’ and ‘queer’, went public with the relationship on September 13, her followers have long speculated about their relationship. Many comments on her intro video show everyone’s astonishment.
“I KNOW it,” said the main comment on the video. Another said: “It’s obvious.” Among these and other comments welcoming the new couple, some expressed dissatisfaction with Siva’s relationship and her moment.
“When two couples break up and become a new couple,” one said, referring to both Siwa and Cyrus having recently ended their relationship. “Olivia’s traitor is about to play when this song comes out,” joked another, while a third asked: “It’s been a month already?”
They pointed to the fact that Cyrus just broke up with ex-girlfriend Soph Mosca. They dated for almost two years and even lived together for a time. Cyrus and Mosca announced their split in early August and began appearing regularly on Siwa’s social media.
Siwa and her ex-girlfriend, Kylie Prew, divorced in June 2022. This is the second split in a two-year romance. They first broke up in November 2021, but reunited after months of speculation in April 2022. She was also rumored to be dating someone else during the breakup, but to no avail. Siwa and Prew ended their relationship amicably.
