Paul McCartney, John Eastman’s brother-in-law, recently paid tribute to him on social media following his death on August 9. According to the announcement,
“John Eastman, my wonderful brother-in-law, has passed away.” “After knowing each other for almost 50 years, this is a very sad moment for me and our family.”
McCartney describes John as one of the sweetest and smartest boys he has ever met. He added that as a lawyer, John helped him with his business dealings and that everyone liked his sense of humour. The author continues,
“We’ve had a lot of great times together over the years, but when it comes to work, he’s unbeatable.” There is much more to be said about his outstanding qualities, but words can hardly describe his zest for life and our love for this amazing young man.”

John Eastman is an attorney for The Beatles, and his sister Linda Eastman is married to Paul McCartney, one of the band’s members. According to NYU Law School records, John represents the estate of painter Francis Bacon and the family of artist Willem de Kooning. In 2004, he told NYU law students that they have the ability to influence the things they care about and the courage to not be forced to become who they want to be.

When the organization disbanded, the members sought the experienced advice of John and his father Lee. At the time, Paul was John’s brother-in-law and Lee’s brother-in-law. Paul also had two wives, Laura and Louise Jr. Linda and Paul were married in a ceremony in London in March 1969. Linda and John first met in 1967 while Linda was on duty at a Georgia Fame concert. Through Linda’s marriage to Paula, John has three nieces, Heather, Mary and Stella, as well as a grandson James. On the other hand, Linda died in April 1998, at the age of 56, after a long battle with breast cancer.
In 2021, John also paid $26.5 million for an apartment near Central Park that he shared with his wife. John died of pancreatic cancer on August 9, leaving his wife Jodie Eastman.
