Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope announced the birth of their first child on Friday, January 20. The couple revealed the name of their daughter, Dylan Rose Lawrence, on Monday, January 16. Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope married on May 1, 2022 in California, and had their first child within a year. The couple made a beautiful statement on Instagram to share more about their baby daughter:
“We brought her into the world with a wonderful midwife, everyone is happy and healthy, and we are so excited. What an amazing adventure. Thank you for your support. stop for this wonderful new life! Watch out for spam baby xoxo”
Lawrence’s third child is Dylan Rose and he also has two daughters from a previous marriage.

Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope were married separately in California.
As previously reported, Lawrence married Cope in a private ceremony in May 2022 in the presence of the couple’s close friends and family members. Heather Christian Folger of HCD Weddings & Events organized the entire ceremony. Lawrence’s children Charleston, 16, and Liberty, 12, from a previous marriage to Chandie Yawn-Nelson, attended the wedding at the Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula, California. The couple was engaged for about a year before their wedding. Through an August 2021 Instagram post, the Blossom star revealed many things. The singer said:
“Looks like the cats are out of the bag! We are so grateful to everyone for their incredible support and warm affection. We are eager to see what the future holds and knowing that we will grow old and wrinkly together is the greatest gift.”
According to reports, the pair met on the set of the Lifetime movie starring Joey Lawrence’s eldest daughter, Charleston, directed by her brother Andrew.

Lawrence’s marriage to Samantha Cope was his third, having previously been married to Michelle Vella and Chandie Yawn-Nelson. He married Vella in 2002 but the two divorced in 2005. In July 2005, after the divorce, the male singer married Yawn-Nelson. The couple married at Disney World, where they met as teenagers on vacation. Lawrence and Yawn-Nelson had two children, Charleston and Liberty, in their nearly 15 year marriage.
After filing for bankruptcy in July 2017, the couple divorced in 2020. Joey Lawrence met his current wife Samantha Cope after the divorce. In an interview about their relationship before marriage, Cope said:
“It was a safe environment to be me in the first place. He loves everything about me and likes my eccentricities. I feel extremely lucky to be able to have it. “I’ll be with you forever,” I said after two weeks.
Lawrence expressed his feelings in the same interview, saying:
“When you meet the right person, if you’re lucky enough, you immediately go into business. I have a friend who is like-minded and speaks the same love language as me, and we communicate in a similar way. That’s really the key. And I’m grateful.”
After the wedding, the couple announced that Cope was pregnant in September 2022.
