The Cincinnati Bengals will finish the NFL season without the help of their star quarterback Joe Burrow.

On Friday (Nov. 17), the team announced that the 26-year-old professional athlete would be out for the remainder of the season after suffering a wrist injury.

Head coach Zac Taylor provided an update in a press conference.

Talking to the mediaZac revealed that Joe tore a ligament in his wrist and will “probably need surgery.”

It appears that Jake Browning will take over at quarterback as the team continues the season and potentially reaches the Super Bowl.

Joe suffered his injury during a game against the Baltimore Ravens. There is no word yet on the extent of his injury. It looks like he may return to the game in the future.

Zac added that it was “exciting” to see the team “rally around Jake.” He expressed optimism ahead of the remaining games.

“The season is far from over,” he said.
