Jocelyn Delk Adams Will Be Featured As The Host Of “Stab That Cake”

Stab That Cake!, Food Network’s next cooking competition, is scheduled to launch online on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 9:00 p.m. ET. In this series, three professional bakers compete to see if their surreal cakes can turn into real candies when placed next to real cakes in different stores. Two teams of cake lovers will fight to find the baker’s cakes hidden in plain sight first.

Pierce that cake! will be co-hosted by Jocelyn Delk Adams and John Henson. Jocelyn is the award-winning chef of ‘Grandbaby Cakes’ and culinary website Grandbaby-creator, creator of Cakes.com, national television personality and brand ambassador. The chef’s aim is to bring his grandmother’s famous traditional dishes with a modern twist.

According to the official synopsis of the food competition series:

Hosts John Henson and Jocelyn Delk Adams task bakers with making and then hiding their cakes in plain sight at a grocery store, where two pie-loving teams compete to decide which is the real cake and which is the cake. In order for their cakes to appear authentic, the bakers must use every new and creative method at their disposal. The complexity of the tasks will increase to take the ability and creativity of the cake designer to the next level.”

Pierce that cake! Host Jocelyn Delk Adams discusses her baking adventures on her own website. She didn’t realize she had the “baking gene” until she was in her twenties. She is now in her 30s and extremely passionate about baking. Grandbaby Cakes was inspired by her grandmother and offers a wide range of classic and traditional recipes with a modern twist.

Jocelyn shares the recipes she creates through her company so people can replicate her dishes in a more modern and accessible way. The presenter hopes to inspire a new generation of bakers and food lovers through the brand in a way that people won’t feel bad about making and eating sweets. She commented on her website, recalling memories of her grandmother’s baking:

“I used to love going to Mississippi to see my grandmother, or “Big Mom” Maggie as my family affectionately calls her grilled. Big Mama bakes cookies that have her neighbors lining up around the block for samples.”

Host Stab That Cake! is a taste expert on TODAY and has been a judge of many Food Network cooking competitions, including Santa’s Baking Blizzard and Beat Bobby Flay. Jocelyn has also starred in many popular TV series, including OWN’s Food Fantasies and Cooking Channel’s longest running show, Unique Sweets. Jocelyn began her career as a dancer in 1994 and was promoted to Production Assistant in 2003. She freelanced for multiple production companies until 2005 when she was promoted to Director.
