Jimmy Buffett’s cause of death has been revealed.
On Friday night (September 1) it was confirmed that the musician had died surrounded by his friends and family. He was 76 years old.
Now a new report from TMZ shares additional details about his passing.

The outlet writes that Jimmy had been diagnosed with skin cancer four years ago, which later progressed to lymphoma.
“He lived his life in the sun, literally and figuratively,” a source told TMZ. They also added that Paul McCartney reportedly visited Jimmy at his house last week to sing to him.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Jane and children Savannah, Sarah and Cameron. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time. RIP.
