Jim Karahalios was born Dimitrios Karahalios, in Ontario, Canada. However, he has not revealed his exact date of birth and age. Candidacy
In November 2018, Brian Patterson, backed by Doug Ford, defeated Karahalios in the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party presidential race. Patterson later filed a lawsuit against the party, alleging that the electoral process was rigged, election laws were violated, and ballot boxes were allegedly stuffed.
Karahalios declared his intention to run for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada in January 2020. He had amassed the $300,000 in contributions and 3,000 endorsement signatures the party required by March 19, 2020, making him the third candidate in the race to do it. . .
