Jessie Mei Lee was born on 27 August 1995 (age 26 years; as in 2020) in Brighton, East Sussex, and brought up in Redhill, Surrey. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. She attended Reigate College, Surrey and after completing her college, she joined the National Youth Theatre, London in 2015. After a year of training in theatre, she joined the Identity School of Acting for the 2016-2017 batch.

Jessie Mei Lee made her on-screen debut in the short film ‘Together, They Smoke’ in 2018. Jessie made her stage debut in 2019 with the show ‘All About Eve’, a reworking of the 1950s drama film with the same title. She played the role of Claudia Caswell and the show was performed at Noël Coward’s Theater in London. He starred alongside Lily James and Gillian Anderson in the play.

In 2019, Jessie starred in an episode of ‘Locked Up Abroad’ and the short film ‘Travellooper’. Jessie Lee returned to the screen in the 2021 Netflix series ‘Shadow and Bone’, in which she played the lead character Aline Starkov.
