Speaking to Indie Wire, Jessica explained that people had a hard time believing she would want to accept a role in Memorywhich is a smaller project.
“Because sometimes I have been doing more important things and have received a lot of attention lately, [there’s been the idea] “I wouldn’t be interested in being on a set without a trailer,” he said. “We had the Oscars and I won by Faye Tammyand right after that, I showed up on set to do Memory. Michel said that a lot of people told him, ‘Oh, Jessica is going to leave your movie because she just won an Oscar.’”
Michael chimed in and said people also warned she would be “a nightmare and a diva.”
“I told them they don’t know the half of it. She is the complete opposite. She will show up satisfied, happy and productive,” she stated. “People are very afraid of actors. I do not know why. The worst way to approach an actor or anyone is with fear, and if you point in the wrong direction, then yes, all your nightmares will come true.”
Regarding the belief that she is a diva, Jessica emphasized that she wants to push herself when she is on set.
“I’m not making a film to be pampered. If I want to be pampered, I’ll go to a spa. “I’m making a movie to work on and be creative, and I don’t need to sit alone in a trailer,” she explained.
