In January 2023, Marvel star Jeremy Renner suffered a snowplow accident that left him with 30 broken bones and nearly cost him his life. A year later, the actor reportedly found love with ex-convict Amber Monson.
Monson, 34, stole a government vehicle and led police on a high-speed chase in 2021, racking up seven felony charges, according to local media. According to Monson’s family, Jeremy Renner has been sending him “shit photos” and called his mother and his aunt “fucking idiots.”
Amber Monson’s brother, Jason Nelms, claims Renner met her at a club in Reno in August. The couple began dating shortly after, at which point Jeremy Renner began video chatting with Monson and her family.
However, the couple allegedly ran into a difficult situation after a Christmas gathering at Renner’s house.
Nelms told the Daily Mail that Jeremy Renner invited Amber Monson, along with her mother and friends, to his Lake Tahoe mansion to celebrate his new Christmas album. There, Monson and her family would meet Renner’s daughter and parents.

The Monson clan struggled to find entry to Renner’s property, prompting the actor to call them “fucking idiots” over the phone and refuse to help them. Nelms claims that once they finally found the house, Jeremy Renner appeared intoxicated and refused to shake his hand.
“It’s in a secluded place where he lives,” Nelms explained. “They’re trying to drive there and they’re lost, they don’t know where she is. “It’s dark, the roads are icy and in poor condition.”
“They’re calling him just to try to find out where he is. And at one point he says, “What are you fucking idiots?” Don’t you three have brains between you?
“Disgusting shit like that. They said, ‘At least come out to the driveway so we can see where you are.’ He said, ‘No, I’m in socks, you’re ruining the cold for me.'”
According to Jason Nelms, the entire encounter was “awkward.”
“My family is being left behind,” he said. “And it really looks silly. He was very cold with them. It was like ‘leaning in’.”
The alleged Christmas encounter is just the latest in Jason Nelms’ attacks on Jeremy Renner. Last month, Nelms took to X, formerly Twitter, to call Renner a “scumbag,” “fake as hell” and a “munchkin.”
