Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy, the legendary couple of DWTS (Dancing With The Stars), welcomed their first child together. DWTS’s Jenna and Val welcomed their baby boy on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Jenna took to her social media page to announce the birth of their baby to her fans. She titled it:
“Our world will change irreversibly on October 1, 2023.”
Jenna and Val embrace their newborn bundle of joy in this monochrome photo. Jenna revealed she was pregnant last July. The DWTS contestant posted on Instagram, saying:
“This is our biggest dream ever. Baby Chmerkovskiy will be born in January! As I develop this little miracle within me, my heart expands beyond words. We are so excited to meet our beautiful angel.”
Jenna opened up about her infertility problem before their baby was born. The DWTS contestant posted the following video on social media:
“That was the moment my whole life changed. We actually stopped trying to conceive for about 6 months to give ourselves a mental/emotional respite… The absolute amazement, amazement and ecstasy of this moment will be with me forever.”

Jenna and Val met in 2014 when the new mom joined the cast of DWTS.
Jenna and Val first met when the SYTYCD alum became part of the DWTS cast. Val was already a member, having competed in season 13 when it debuted in 2011. Although they started out as friends, they started dating a year later in 2015. They dated for a few months before farewell. Val dated Amber Rose briefly before getting back together with Jenna. Val proposed to Jenna on one knee while on a romantic vacation in Italy in June 2018. Val revealed in an exclusive interview with US Weekly:
“I knew Jenna was the only one after seeing how close she is to her family and how she interacts with her nieces. Family is very important to me and I can’t wait to start together.”
It wasn’t long before they got married. They got married in April 2019. They told US Weekly of their hope to have a baby in September 2020:
“I want children. Val really wants children. We totally talk about it. It’s our destiny. That’s what we hope when it happens. There’s an old saying that never. There are good times, but I believe we just want to figure things out and then let things happen as they have to happen.
