Jelly Roll says his spidey sense was tingled when he was offered the chance to meet fellow rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. The incident occurred in October when both stars were guests at Jimmy Kimmel live. When she had the chance, Jelly turned down a photo shoot at the last minute, a choice she still can’t understand.
Jelly Roll appeared in Kimmel for a performance on the October 30 episode. This episode also had Diddy as a panel guest. This was months before a series of shocking allegations surfaced against the hip-hop titan, involving accusations of sexual assault and sex trafficking.
“This is the first time in my career that they’ve said to me, ‘Do you want to meet so-and-so?’ And I said, ‘Yes,’ and I started walking in that direction,” Jelly said in the CANCELED With Tana Mongeau podcast last week. This statement followed Bunnie XO, his wife and a self-proclaimed conspiracy theorist, admitting his disbelief in the existence of the Illuminati.
Jelly humorously denied having had “strange” interactions with celebrities or having Illuminati vibes, joking about not being their type. He mentioned that she had a story with a weird vibe that she could “get in trouble for,” and then decided to share it.

“And as I walked down the hallway, this is a true story. I said, ‘No,’ and I went and went back to the car,” Jelly Roll recalled of the potential encounter with Diddy. “I don’t know what it was, and at first I made a joke, ‘You don’t want to meet the guy who got Tupac killed…’ And no one thought that was funny… When we were walking, I was like, I don’t know. Very rarely do things bother me in any way. I was like, ‘I don’t even know if that’s the photo I want.'”
Although the photo opportunity did not materialize, Jelly Roll’s insight into the mogul and veteran rapper now seems revealing. This comes in light of Combs’ former partner, singer Cassie Ventura, filing a lawsuit against him for alleged prolonged physical abuse and rape, just two weeks later. The explosive lawsuit led to a swift and confidential settlement in a single day, the details of which remain undisclosed.
Of course, Combs faced multiple lawsuits for sexual assault and other crimes, and he vehemently denied all allegations. His homes were raided by Homeland Security in connection with a sex trafficking investigation just over two weeks ago.
