Jaswinder Singh Bains aka Jazzy B is a Punjabi singer, songwriter, model and actor known for his Bhangra style of singing. He is often referred to as the Prince of Bhangra.

Jazzy B was born on 1 April 1975 (age 46 years; as in 2021) in Durgapur, Nawanshahr, Punjab. His zodiac sign is Aries. When he was just 5 years old, his family moved to Vancouver, Canada. He did his schooling from Simon Cunningham Elementary School, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada and Princess Margaret High School, Canada. Jazzy B was inclined towards music at a very young age and used to listen to Kuldeep Manak. When he was just 4 years old, Kuldeep Manak performed in his village Durgapur. This further increased his interest in music. When he was in Canada, he used to play air band in school, do Bhangra and sing Punjabi songs. When Jazzy was pursuing graduation, he worked as a part-time construction worker with Tarlok Singh Cooner. It was Kooner who recognized Jazzy’s talent and advised him to launch his own music album. He also spent $5000 on his first album. In 1993, he released his first track “Guggiyan Da Jora”. Subsequently, he moved to Birmingham, England to pursue his singing career.

Jazzy B started her singing career in 1993 with the Punjabi music album “Ghugiyan Da Jora”. Subsequently, he released several duets such as “Akh De Eshare,” “Patlo,” and “Raal Khushiyan Manaiye.” Jazzy earned widespread recognition with her songs including “Dil Aah Gay Ya Tere Te,” “Landono Patola,” “Husna Di Sarkar” and “Naag.” In 2000, he made a special appearance in the Bollywood film “Shaheed Udham Singh”. His acting debut as a lead actor was in 2013 with the film “Best of Luck” opposite Gippy Grewal. This film earned him the PTC Punjabi Film Award for ‘Best Male Debut’. Next, he acted in the Punjabi comedy film “Romeo Ranjha”. Some of his hit Punjabi songs include “This Party Getting Hot,” “One Million,” “Naag 2,” “Mitran De Boot,” “Naag the Third,” and “Jatt Da Flag.”
In August 2016, Jazzy B launched her own clothing brand named “B Jazzy”.

- In 2014, Jazzy attracted controversy for the video of her song “Rise Above Hate” in which she featured the Sikh religious symbol ‘Khanda’ despite promoting pornographic material.
- On 8 June 2021, his Twitter account was blocked in India in response to a legal demand. Reportedly, on 6 June 2021, the Indian government requested Twitter to block four accounts including Jazzy B.
