On April 1, 2023, 33-year-old businessman Gurbir Singh filed a complaint against Jasneet Kaur for alleged blackmailing at the Model Town police station in Ludhiana, Punjab. In the complaint, he alleged that in November 2022, he received a WhatsApp call from an unknown number demanding Rs 2 crore and threatening to harm him and his family. On 4 April 2023, Punjab Police arrested her for sending semi-nude and nude pictures to her Instagram followers and extorting money by blackmailing them.
