“Duel,” she began in the caption of the post that featured a carousel of old photos and videos with Ron. “This is a battle.”
Jasmine continued: “I keep looking at my phone wanting to call you and hear your voice. You heard me… you REALLY heard me. You valued my opinion and never judged me. “We all know you were a great actor, but my God, you were a very good father.”
“Your greatest gift to me as a father was giving me a safe space to just be me. Without fear of my womanhood and all the pain, discomfort, social anxiety and harsh burdens that society can impose on us. You understood it. You guided me. She advised me. Gut laughed with me. He cried with me. He sang with me. He celebrated me. He studied with me. He took care of me…and he loved me.”
