Not holding back her true feelings, Jamie Lee Curtis let loose in a now-deleted Instagram post about a joke made at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards.
According The Huffington PostCurtis bristled at the comment that The last of us Star Bella Ramsey made about Want actress, Ariana DeBose. While presenting the award for Best Original Song with Anthony Ramos, Ramsey used an onstage joke that implied DeBose couldn’t sing.
“Then there are actors who also think they’re singers: Jack Black, Ariana DeBose and Ken himself, Ryan Gosling,” Ramsey said. DeBose quickly showed his disdain for her comment when the awards show cameras focused on her.
Along with Debose fans, Jamie Lee Curtis was not a big fan of the joke. “Are you kidding?” he Hallowe’en star indicated in the publication. “Ariana DeBose is a queen.”
However, it’s unclear whether Curtis was referring to Ramsey or the Critics Choice Awards.

During a recent appearance on Today, Jamie Lee Curtis opened up about what’s going on with her and her career right now. He also noted that her age is a “moment of reflection and excitement.”
“For me, I feel more excited, more creatively activated,” Curtis said. “I have a new book. I’m going to go make a movie. I have to be on a television show. “I’m having a creative moment.”
Also talking about her new children’s book, Just one more dream Jamie Lee Curtis said she’s being less hard on herself now. “I am very accepting of my appearance and I am the owner of what I think and feel. And that, to me, is maturity,” she said. “You own what you think and feel. I say what I want to say. I mean what I say. I try not to say it wrong. And that is one way to reach old age.”
Curtis went on to explain that she is also less focused on the future due to her age. She turned 65 last November. “The present is very hard because they are growing. You’re thinking about new shoes, new clothes, dentists, schools, things. Everything is future. And when you’re my age, that’s not the case; “You’re not thinking about the future because the future means you’re going to be dead.”
