James Cameron confirms that ‘Avatar 3’ is already in post-production and its release is scheduled for 2025

At a recent press conference in New Zealand moderated by 1News Chief Correspondent John Campbell, Canadian filmmaker James Cameron vividly described the post-production phase of Avatar 3calling it “frantic.”

Seizing the moment, Cameron took the opportunity to declare New Zealand as his main production centre. Not only did he announce his decision to create films in the country “indefinitely,” but he also revealed his plan to officially become a New Zealand citizen in 2024.

Cameron’s association with New Zealand dates back to 2005, the same year the first Avatar the movie started.

“We’re in a very hectic two years of post-production right now,” Cameron responded after being asked about the third Avatar movie. “Then it will be Christmas 2025.”
