Furthermore, he successfully defended his WBO light middleweight title for the fifth time after defeating Patrick Allotey on September 14, 2019 in Carson, California, with a fourth-round TKO.
He faced Gary O’Sullivan on January 11, 2020 and defeated O’Sullivan via 11th round TKO. He defeated Tureano Johnson on October 30, 2020 to win the WBO Intercontinental Middleweight Championship. On June 19, 2021 he defeated Kamil Szeremeta to defend his title.
