Jagadish Pratap Bandari (also spelled Jagadish Pratap Bandari) is an Indian actor known for his work in the Telugu film industry. In 2021, he achieved stardom when he played the role of Keshav in the Indian Telugu-language action drama film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.

livelihood
Born in a farmer family, Bandari grew up and became a farmer. Before entering the entertainment industry, Bandari was working as a sales executive. As a sales executive, he used to supply food items like French fries and sweet corn to theaters around his hometown Warangal. Being fond of films since childhood, he tried his hand in film production by producing various short films. In 2018, he shot an entire short film titled “Road Side Circus” via his mobile phone and uploaded it to his self-titled YouTube channel. The short film features a group of migrants who perform a circus show in different villages.
Subsequently, he moved to Hyderabad in search of acting opportunities.
OTT/Web Series
She made her digital debut with the 2018 web series ‘Nirudyoga Natulu’, which streamed on MikeTV’s YouTube channel. The series focuses on four aspiring actors, including Jagadish, who struggle to find work in the Telugu film industry while living in Hyderabad.
He came into limelight with the 2019 Telugu-language crime web series ‘Gods of Dharampuri’, in which he played the supporting role of Chalapathi. Streaming on ZEE5, the series centers around a mining mafia bubble in the 1970s that takes the protagonist, Pratap Reddy, and his family from poverty to riches, as he rules Dharmapuri using violence and cruelty. In the series, Chalapathi is Pratap’s trusted companion.

He appeared as Adagutta Mallesh in the 2020 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama web series ‘Kotha Poradu’. Streaming on digital platform Aha, the series centers around Raju, a carefree village boy who leaves his village and moves to the city to repay his deceased father’s debt.

In 2019, she gained immense popularity with her debut film with ‘Mallesham’ in which she played the role of Anji. Based on the life of Chintakindi Mallesham, the Indian Telugu-language biographical film follows the journey of a man who revolutionizes the weaving industry by creating the Lakshmi Asu machine.

In the 2019 Telugu-language biographical film ‘George Reddy’, Bandari played the role of a writer named Bheem Naik. The film is about George Reddy, a former Indian student leader and social activist who influenced the politics of Andhra Pradesh state while at Osmania University in the 1970s.

Bandari played the role of Muthyalu in the 2020 Indian Telugu-language period action thriller film Palasa 1978. Set in the 1970s, the film’s story depicts incidents related to caste discrimination and untouchability in a town called Palasa, where Mohan Rao, a man belonging to a Dalit family, chooses the path of violence to protest discrimination.

In 2021, he rose to fame with the Telugu-language action drama film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ starring Allu Arjun, in which he played the role of Keshav (aka Mondelu), the protagonist Pushpa’s loyal apprentice. Keshav’s Rayalaseema dialect in the film earned Bandari much appreciation.

Next, he was cast in the 2022 Telugu-language crime-drama thriller film ‘Pick Pockets’. She also starred in the independent films ‘Children of Sacrifice’ and ‘Obi’ (2020) and the short film ‘Halahala’ (2020).
