Hridayoy Babu aka TikTok Hridayoy is a Bangladeshi TikToker. In May 2021, he was arrested by the Bangalore Police along with four other men and two women in a case of human trafficking and sexual assault of a woman.

Controversy
Ridoy Babu/Babo was arrested in May 2021 along with two women and four other men i.e. Mohammed Baba Shaikh, Rakibul Islam Sagar, Hakil in a case of sexual assault of a Bangladeshi girl in Kerala, India. Hridayoy posted a video on social media in which he and four other men were sexually assaulting a girl. Later it was revealed that two women had helped Hridoy in involving the girl in human trafficking. As soon as the video went viral on social media, Bengaluru Police identified Hridoy from his social media account and started further investigation in the case. Later, all four people involved in the crime were arrested and a case was registered against six people, including four men and two women, at the Ramamurthy Nagar police in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru Police said that when the four men were taken to the police station, they tried to escape and attacked the police, and in self-defence the police shot Hriday and Sagar in the knees. Speaking to reporters, the victim’s father said,
About a year ago, she met her husband’s friend Hridoy in Moghbazar and told me that he would help her find work abroad with her husband. I tried to stop her, but she still went.
Along with Bengaluru Police, Bangladeshi Police took strict action against the culprits. Indian journalist Pratibha Raman wrote on Twitter,
Nirbhaya like incident in Bengaluru. Six days ago, a 22-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by 4 people in NRI Colony. Another woman was present with the accused. All of them, including the victim, are illegal immigrants from Bangladesh who are allegedly involved in prostitution. Personal rivalry was cited. Accused arrested.”
On May 27, 2021, the Delhi unit of Khasi Students Union (KSU) wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah urging him to take strict action against the culprits. Speaking to journalists in Bangladesh, Hridoy’s mother and uncle said that they had thrown him out of the house a few years ago because of his bad behaviour.
