Ether Tickets
By far the absolute best way to reduce transmission costs is to offer ether tickets. There are also tickets specific to your company and Vesper Bay, but I’m talking about shared tickets, simply called “Aetheryte Tickets”.
Using the ticket waives the entire teleportation cost, so if you always have a stack of these on hand, you’ll never have to pay the teleport fee again for the rest of your life.
If you go into the teleport settings (gear icon in the top right) you can set your Aetheryte Ticket Usage to auto-use when a certain teleport cost threshold is reached. I recommend setting this to avoid having to deal with annoying pop-ups confirming whether you want to use the ticket all the time.
Whether you want to use your ticket all the time or just for expensive trips is up to you. You can decrease or increase depending on your needs.
You can purchase these Aether Tokens with the Allied Seal at Hunt Billmaster in your Great Company or the Centurion Seal at Ardolain of the Forgotten Knights in Ishgard for 5 seals per ticket.

You have several sources of Allied and Centurion Marks in daily and weekly events. Personally, I’m too lazy to do it daily, but even if you only do it weekly, you’ll still have tons of ether tickets.
For Centurio Seals, you have weekly issues from Heavensward and Stormblood Elite Mark Bills. The Heavensward Board is located outside the Forgotten Knights of Ishgard, and the Stormblood Bill can be obtained at Rhalgr’s Reach or Kugane.
Find your two tokens and get 100 Centurion Marks from each, then take them to Ishgard to buy up to 40 Aetherstone Tickets.
There are also weekly quests that give you the Seal of Allies: ARR Elite Mark Bills and Blue Mage Masked Masquerade challenges. The Elite Seal will earn you 100 Allied Seals (20 ETH Tickets), while completing the weekly Masked Carnival challenge will earn you 550 Allied Seals (110 Tickets).
As you can see, even if you don’t complete any of the daily quests available for your seal, you can still earn an incredible 170 Ether crystal tickets from these four weekly quests. Let’s say you book your ether ticket that only activates when you move over 500 gil; you will save at least 85,000 gil per week.
If you have less than 170 transfers per week, you can set them to stay active and enjoy free transfers forever.
You can also purchase Dalian team tickets (e.g. “Maelstrom Aetheryte Tickets”) from your Dalian regional manager. They cost 2,000 company stamps and are mailed straight to your Grand Company headquarters.
These aren’t really worth it in my opinion, as you’re effectively trading 2,000 corporate stamps with a one-time delivery cost – corporate stamps are not being used effectively. These stamps can help you earn more gold if turned into venture projects or marketed items.
Ok, so I suspect that the aetheryte ticket covers most of you, but there are some other options in case they don’t work for you. Maybe you’re saving up all your ally and officer seals to buy the cosmetics you want, or maybe you just can’t stand hunting for green mage bills or stuff. In that case, here are some additional tips to keep your shipping costs down.
Delivery discount as a stepping stone
Surely you have noticed that the further away the destination is from your current location, the more expensive the transportation costs. This makes teleporting within the same area (e.g. West Thanaland to South Thanaland) more reasonable than traveling from one area to another (e.g. Gridania to Kuganne) .
You can take advantage of this by teleporting to discounted teleports in the same area as your destination, then paying less to get to exactly where you need to go.
Some teleports are automatically discounted, such as Player Homes: FC Estates, Private Estates, and Apartments are all discounted teleports listed in the “More” tab of the teleport menu. immediately. Traveling to Kugane can be expensive, but FC homes in Shirogane can be cheaper.
Players can also designate up to three Aetherytes as priority destinations, reducing teleportation fees when traveling there. You can change these if you wish by interacting with the Ether Crystal and selecting “Register Preferred Destination”.

Of course, the final discount is taken from your Home Point, which you can set as your preferred destination. I like to have my home point central to the end game (currently Radz-at-Han), but starting cities are also a popular choice, especially Limsa Lominsa.
You can return to your starting point with a back action (Travel > Back or Enter/Back) that can be assigned to a keybinding. This has a 15 minute cooldown. When you lose the ability, you will also return to your starting point, so green mages can use the self-destruct skill on the 10 minute cooldown for an extra free ride.
