The new bounty-hunter-themed season of Fortnite is well underway, and players now have the chance to meet, speak to, accept quests and bounties from, and purchase weapons from 40 NPC bounty hunters from across realities. Season 5 has introduced many changes to the traditional seasonal format of Epic Games’ popular battle royale title. Players will now receive bounty contracts to find and eliminate certain other players in a match. Exotic Weapons are extremely rare, and there are five so far for players to find. Players can only access an Exotic Weapon in a match by trading their Gold Bars to various NPCs. The Exotic Shadow Tracker Pistol is one of these Exotic Weapons, and it will cost players a good portion of their accumulated Gold Bars to access. In addition, only one NPC in Fortnite Season 5 has this weapon available for trade. The Exotic Shadow Tracker Pistol is similar to the Suppressed Pistol, but with several upgrades, including a higher damage rate and added tracking to make it a useful and highly coveted addition to any bounty hunter’s arsenal. How To Get The New Shadow Tracker Exotic Pistol in Fortnite
The only NPC who has the Shadow Tracker Exotic Pistol available for trade is Reese. She is an Intergalactic Beast Hunter and is one of the skins players can access by reaching Level 15 of their Battle Pass. To find her in-game, players will need to head to Dirty Docks and enter the building closest to the eastern coast of the island. This is the building that looks similar to the Dusty Depot.
Players will find Reese in the building. She should have a speech bubble with three dots over her head. Interacting with Reese will open an interface where players can see and accept quests or purchase items.
The Shadow Tracker Exotic Pistol costs 1,225 Gold Bars. Though players can keep their Gold Bars between matches to save for what they want, this can be a slow process. This means most players will only have a chance to purchase this Exotic Weapon every once in a while, assuming they are completing quests and bounties that award Gold Bars and saving what they earn.
The Shadow Tracker Exotic Pistol deals 29 damage and will mark the opponent shot with it for a limited amount of time, similar to what happens when a player shakes down an opponent or consumes a Vendetta Flopper. The pistol requires light ammo. The other available Exotic Weapons have different abilities, like teleportation or the ability to ignite an opponent or their built structures, that make them especially valuable in difficult matches.
