The Arzuros is one of the many creatures that players can hunt down in Monster Hunter Rise. This giant bear and armadillo-like creature act much like how the separate creatures would act in real life. So where should players look for this beast and what is the best way to try and defeat the horror?

Because of all the items, players can use and status effects that can be given to a monster, there are many things to take note of. First of all, is where the Arzuros are located and found. Then what damage types and ailments it is weak against. Finally, what points of the body a player should focus on while fighting the creature.

Tracking Down the Arzuros in Monster Hunter Rise

Many players may have trouble locating this beast as it is only found in two areas. These are the Shrine Ruins and Flooded Forest. It is aggressive towards other monsters and will immediately attack the player once provoked. It is one of the Fanged Beast species. When out looking for this monster, players should take Honey with them. Arzuros are incredibly attracted to honey to the point that it will distract them from the player or another monster. This will give players a good opening attack on the weaker portions of its body.

Players should avoid using Dragon or Water-based damage against as the Arzuros is immune to Dragon and resistant to Water. Instead, players should focus mainly on using Fire damage with Ice and Thunder as good backups that the creature will be weak against. If the player has the ability to, the best ailments to use against this creature are Exhaust, Fireblight, Paralysis, Poison, and Sleep. However, it is also weak to Blast, Stun, Iceblight, Thunderblight, and Waterblight.

Lastly, there are a couple of weak points o the Arzuros that players should focus their damage on. The areas that will take the most damage are the Foreleg, Upper Half, and Head. More specifically, the best places to hit are the abdomen while the creature rears up on its hind legs or directly above the tail plate.

Once the player has defeated this creature there are several materials that they have a chance at scavenging off of its body. This includes Arzuros Brace, Arzuros Carapace, Arzuros Pelt, Arzuros Shell, Beast Gem, Beast Tear, Goldenfish, Honey, Jumbo Bone, Large Beast Tear, Stoutbone, and Sushifish. Each of these is based on a different percentage somewhat dependent on the skill level of the player. The Pelt being the most likely item to be dropped at 38% for Lower-Ranked characters.
