Fuecoco is the initiator of the cute flame Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, beloved for her cheerful, carefree eyes, spooky appearance, and cheerful demeanor. It is slow but durable and powerful in combat. However, Fuecoco does not mean Fuecoco forever and players want to be prepared for these developments. Like most beginners, Fuecoco’s evolution into Crocalor and Skeledirge is a simple process of training and adventure.
Fuecoco broke with the Zodiac tradition of the fire attribute of Pokémon and evolved into its alligator form. Fuecoco evolves when it reaches a certain level, and becomes Fire and Ghost when it evolves into Skeledirge. The main evolution levels are 16 and 36. If the player is too obsessed with Fuecoco’s cute little face, they can buy an Everstone at Delibird Presents for 3,000 Elf Coins. This is also useful for breeding, as it ensures that the eggs are a natural fit for Fuecoco.
Fuecoco Evolution in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple
Fuecoco evolves into Crocalor at level 16. Its most notable physical feature is the fiery helmet on its head, resembling a nest with eggs. Crocalor is still pure fire, not like new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Pokémon Capsakid evolves into Scovillain, from a grass-type to a grass-and-fire type. Unlike Capsakid, Fuecoco does not need flint to evolve into Crocalor. This means that players can skip the gym battle storyline (which unlocks evolution materials in the shop) until they have a fully evolved Pokémon. Crocalor’s cap helps set this Pokémon up in the Spanish-inspired setting of Paldea.
The final evolution of the Fuecoco lineage is the Skeledirge, a fire/ghost crocodile with a fire-breathing mouth. Skeledirge evolves from Crocalor at level 36. Like Crocalor, the player does not need Flint or other evolution materials to obtain Skeledirge. Skeledirge is an outstanding Pokémon not only because it breaks free from the Pokémon fire/battle novice tradition, but also because of its Torch Song.
Song of the Torch is the signature move of Skeledirge. It is the only Pokémon that can learn this move, and it will learn Torch Song immediately after evolving. Song of the Torch is a special fire skill that deals damage to nearby enemies. It then increases Skeledirge’s special attack stats. The song of the torch is the only sound-based action Pokémon Scarlet and Violet And the only fire tone-based action in the series.
Fuecoco, Crocalor, and Skeledirge are fun and beautiful Pokémon that help players assert themselves as they explore Paldea.
