Anthony Ramos and Dominque Fishback share some laughs together during the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Photocall held at Gardens by the Bay on Friday (May 26) in Singapore.
The two actors joined co-star Tobe Nwigwe and director Steven Caple, Jr. for the event, ahead of the film’s world premiere.
In a new interview, it was revealed that Anthony and Dominique are actually long-time friends and came out to play their respective roles without knowing that they auditioned for the same film.
While talking about how they had a goal to write or do something together, Dominique said that they “had no idea it would be this epic and this Brooklyn.”
Steven had shared that while they had come separately to audition for their roles as Noah and Elena, they came together for the chemistry reading.
“We were too familiar,” Anthony laughed, remembering that Steven had to remind them that their characters don’t know each other. Anthony and Dominique have known each other for about 5 years.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 9, 2023. Watch the latest trailer for the film now!
