Hillary Clinton and Malala Yousafzai will debut on Broadway… as producers!
The former Secretary of State and Nobel Peace Prize winner have joined the production team of the next Broadway musical sufwhich will open next year.
sufwritten by Shaina Taub, it originally ran Off-Broadway last year at the Public Theater and will now play at the Music Box Theater with an official opening night on April 18.
It’s 1913 and the women’s movement is heating up in the United States, anchored by the suffragettes (“Suffs,” as they call themselves) and their relentless pursuit of the right to vote. Traversing and combating generational, racial, and class divides, these brilliant, flawed women entertain and inspire us with the story of their hard-won victory in an ongoing struggle. Much has changed since the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment more than a century ago, and yet we are sometimes reminded to look back so we can march fearlessly into the future.

Casting and ticket sales information will be announced at a later date. The off-Broadway production featured Taub leading the cast alongside Tony winner Nikki M. James and Tony nominees Phillipa Soo and Jenn Colella.
