During the last episode of his new heights In a podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, who is also an NFL player, Travis discussed the possibility of being benched during Sunday’s (Jan. 7) game.
Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift likely won’t be in the crowd on Sunday as she’s scheduled to attend the Golden Globes, where she’s nominated for her concert film.

The Chiefs are finishing the NFL season at the top of their conference, the AFC West, so they have already clinched a playoff spot. The team could decide to bench some of its best players to give them a rest before facing the most important games of the year!
“I know, coach [Andy] Reid will do what’s best for the moment and right now I’m not too sure exactly how it will play out. [and] if the boys are going to sit down [on the bench], which guys are going to be elevated. “It’s really going to depend on who’s on your roster and how many guys you can turn off and still make a good team and have a full team ready to go,” Travis said on the podcast (via Us weekly).
Jason added: “The veteran teams [and] For the older players in the squads, I think it makes sense to give them rest, to recover their legs because the end of the season affects the older players more. [And] how are you getting into the playoffs, like for us [on the Philadelphia Eagles], we haven’t gotten into the playoffs with any kind of momentum. “I think it would be good to go out there and try to build something on this last game and go into the postseason with some positivity.”
“I don’t think it’s a cutting explanation for the break or the game. I think a lot depends on the context of how you’re entering the playoffs, where your team is, how beaten they are. [and] “All of that plays into it,” Jason said.
