The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is one of the most popular electric cars in its segment, but how many colors does it come in? Introduced last year, the Ioniq 5 is an electric compact crossover SUV with some great features, including Level 2 autonomous driving in mid- and high-end models. The car also comes with the same OTA updates as most of its rivals, such as the Volkswagen ID.4 and Tesla Model Y, among others.
While the Ioniq 5 offers plenty of technology and features to keep owners satisfied, there is one notable shortcoming. The car comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, available on all makes and models, although they don’t offer wireless connectivity. That’s uncommon with buyers, as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available even on cheaper cars like Hyundai’s Elantra SE and the base model Kona.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is available in the US in six exterior colors, including Atlas White, Cyber Gray, Digital Cyan, Lucid Blue, Phantom Black, and Meteor. While most of the names are pretty straightforward, Shooting Star is matte gray and is the only translucent option on the list. However, not all variants are available with all colors. For example, the basic Ioniq 5 SE comes in only five colors and there is no Copy option in the list. The SEL and Limited models offer all six available options, including the Shooting Star.
Interior color and material Hyundai Ioniq 5
In terms of interior colors and upholstery, the Hyundai Ionic 5 offers options in black fabric, gray two-tone fabric, black imitation leather, gray two-tone leatherette and dark green two-tone leatherette. Again, however, not all trim levels have all options. The base Ioniq SE has no faux leather and is only available in black and gray two-tone fabric. Meanwhile, the mid-range and high-end Limited SEL versions are covered in full leatherette without any fabric options.
In Europe, the Ionic 5 is available in more exterior colors. In total, the Old Continent has eight options, including Digital Teal, Matte Gravity Gold, Sober Blue, Meteor Gray, Atlas White, Galaxy Grey, Cyber Gray, and Phantom Black. Again, however, not all colors are available on all trim levels. Inside, Hyundai offers three color options: Obsidian Black, Dark Lime/Pigeon Gray and Dark Green/Pigeon Grey. Unfortunately, while the base package includes the first two options, the third option is only available as an optional color pack for Hyundai Ioniq 5 buyers.
