Joe Locke experienced a quick rush of fame with the success of his Netflix series Heartstopper and now the second season is streaming.
The 19-year-old actor is opening up about some of the unacceptable behavior from fans that he’s unfortunately grown accustom to over the last year.
Joe revealed in a Teen Vogue interview that his friends and family have had to make sacrifices because of his newfound fame.

“It’s a weird guilt I sometimes feel that, by association, their lives are affected by choices in my life,” Joe said.
Joe told the mag that one fan found his grandmother’s phone number and called her up. His mom had to make new social media accounts after fans found her pages.
“It’s a mutual thing. I need to learn my boundaries and people need to learn their boundaries. Most attention comes from a really good place, and I hope I always appreciate that,” Joe said.
Joe also said, “There’s an idea that it’s part of the job to lose your privacy, that you lose your right to having privacy. That’s something I hope the next generation of people in the public eye can change…. I think people are understanding that privacy is a nonnegotiable.”
