With the announcement of the new song, Drake used an image of Halle bathed in green liquid at a previous Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards show; however, it was without permission.
Halle first shared a new post on her own Instagram, writing that “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy… even if you’re a woman!”
After her post, she responded to a fan who responded to the post, asking what she thought of Drake using her photo.
“I didn’t get my permission,” he responded. “That’s not right, I thought better of him!”
Halle later claimed that was the reason for her post in the first place: “Hence my post today. When people you admire let you down, you have to be a bigger person and move on!
Drake is planning to release his new album, For all dogson September 22.
