As she continues to enjoy her freedom, Gypsy Rose Blanchard opened up about the first TV show she watched after leaving prison.
While talking to Barstool’s Robbie Fox on his my mom’s basement podcast, Blanchard revealed that she ended up watching Obi Wan Kenobi just when he got home. She told Fox that she was a huge Star Wars fan. “It came out last year and I thought, ‘Oh my God, I’m dying to see this!’” he said. “So that was like the first thing I saw.”
The chat with Fox comes just after Gypsy Rose Blanchard reflected on her life since the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Gypsy Rose was convicted of second-degree murder for the death of her mother and sentenced to 10 years in prison for her crime. However, in September 2023, Gypsy Rose was granted parole and served eight years of her sentence.
When asked by Global News how she sees herself today, Gypsy Rose Blanchard said, “Today I see myself as someone trying to get out of prison and start their new life.”
Blanchard also said she is simply trying to remake herself and reinvent herself into something her family is proud of. “I think I’m getting to that point,” she said. “I don’t think I’m there yet, but I like this new version of myself.”
When asked about his new documentary series. The prison confessions of Gyspy Rose Blanchard, He said he wanted to publish something very precise. “He wanted to publish something that was the truth,” she noted. “Much of what has already been published was the work of people who, honestly, did not know the ins and outs of my case or my life.”
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Says She Still Needs Closure When It Comes To Some Questions About Her Past
As she continues to speak with Global News, Gypsy Rose Blanchard said she has some questions about her situation that she needs to resolve. Among those questions was about her medical history.
“There are questions I have about the surgeries I have had,” he said. Blanchard said he has not yet had a chance to see his full medical history. I have a lot of questions about what I had done medically. “Also questions for my family about things that happened before I was even born.”
When asked why no one stepped in and took her away from her mother, Gypsy Rose Blanchard had some ideas. “I think a big part of it was that there were people who were suspicious, including family,” she responded. “But no one wants to cause problems. They didn’t bring it up to other people. “It wasn’t talked about.”
Blanchard said people kept their suspicions to themselves for fear of upsetting her mother. “From a professional point of view, I think for those doctors who did have suspicions,” she added. “It’s all about money, honestly. That’s my opinion on it.”
