Gypsy Rose Blanchard Files Temporary Restraining Order Amid Ryan Anderson Divorce

Gypsy Rose Blanchard filed a temporary restraining order against her ex-husband Ryan Anderson just days after filing for divorce.

in court documents obtained by PEOPLE, The restraining order was filed in the 17th Judicial District Court in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. Details about the restraining order have not been publicly revealed.

Blanchard announced in late March that she and Anderson, whom she married in June 2022, had separated. Since then she has lived with her father in Bayou.

Amid the split, Gypsy Rose Blanchard was spotted with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker. The duo got matching tattoos while visiting New Orleans. However, Urker’s mother, Raina Wilson, confirmed that they are not back together.

“They’re great,” Wilson said of his son and Blanchard. “Ken is just being a supportive friend and that’s it.”

Describing Gypsy Rose Blanchard as a “sweet girl,” Wilson shared, “I think she’s made her mistakes and is trying to learn from them like anyone else. And I care a lot about Gyspy and I want good things to happen to him.”

Blanchard married Anderson while serving time for the 2015 murder of her mother, Claudine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. She pleaded guilty to second-degree murder after plotting to kill her mother with her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn.

After serving eight of his ten-year sentence, Blanchard was granted parole. She was released at the end of December 2023.

Godejohn was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Just before announcing her split from Ryan Anderson, Gypsy Rose Blanchard allegedly feared her ex-husband would hit her during a big argument.

Blanchard’s close friend, Nadiya Vizier, said PEOPLE which Anderson exploited against Gypsy. “She got in his face and screamed,” Vizier said. Gypsy said she was afraid he would hit her.”

Vizier confirmed that Anderson did not hit Blanchard. However, the incident traumatized Gypsy because she reminded him of her mother. “So her first instinct was to toughen up and be ready,” Vizier explained. “But she got to safety and also called her lawyer.”

Gypsy’s friend Rose Blanchard described Anderson as a “big guy.”

Vizier also recalled that Gypsy Rose Blanchard told him that she locked herself in a room during the fight with Anderson. “She told me it was really scary,” Vizier added.
