Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton reveal video before the Super Bowl and fans are going crazy

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton just released their new duet, “Purple Irises,” and the teaser video Stefani shared on X has fans excited. The song was released on streaming services and YouTube overnight on Friday (February 9).

In their respective pre-choruses, the couple reminisces. Stefani sings, “It’s not 1999 / But this face is still mine / The way you look at me / I swear my heart goes back.” Later, Shelton shouts, “It’s not 2014 / But you still look good in those jeans / Looking in the mirror / Do you see what I see?”

The duo joins the chorus and sings: “But if someone comes and tries to love you like I love you / I don’t know what I would do, I don’t want to lose you / If someone comes and tries to take you away, they try to make you / Don’t let them change your mind / I wonder why you took a risk / In a broken heart you can’t fix / No, I never knew a love like this / Now I’m picking purple irises. “

Gwen Stefani released an X clip of her and Blake Shelton to tease the tune’s upcoming video, which will be released on Valentine’s Day.

Another fan was moved by the lyrical content of the tune. “My God, Gwen! It is incredible how the lyrics and the way of singing manage to convey something pure, spiritual and full of love. And watching this video is exactly that… pure love.” they wrote.

One bewildered X user couldn’t help but be a little green with envy. “Jezz couldn’t just be talented, funny, nice and kind, he had to be pretty and handsome?! “You guys are adorable together,” they wrote.

This is not the duo’s first collaboration. His previous songs “Nobody But You” and “Happy Everywhere” topped the country charts. In 2017, they also worked together on “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.”
