‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 20 First Look Revealed, Ellen Pompeo Is Back

Less than a year after his departure Grey’s Anatomy As the show’s main character, Ellen Pompeo returns to the long-running series.

In the promotion of Grey’s Anatomy In season 20, Pompeo is seen reprising her role as Meredith Gray when she returns to Gray Sloan Memorial. “How long I have to wait?” Meredith declares before a scene change to the surgery intern that she is preparing for another day at the hospital. “What are you waiting for? Let’s go,” shouts Chandra Wilson’s Miranda Bailey.

As she and Meredith walk down the hospital hallway, Miranda says, “The interns are in trouble.”

According PEOPLE, promotion continues where Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 ended. Gives a taste of last season’s cliffhangers.

Along with Pompeo’s appearance, the promo showed Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) and Atticus Lincoln (Chris Carmack) developing a romance. It also showed Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) struggling with his sobriety. Simone Griffith (Alexis Floyd) is seen talking to Lucas Adams (Niko Terho) about their relationship.

Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) collapses during surgery just after complaining of a toothache. Winston Ndugu (Anthony Hills) said he was in critical condition.

Ellen Pompeo says she plans to make ‘some appearances’ on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ next year

During Varieties Actors from the series Actors, Ellen Pompeo spoke with her ex Grey’s Anatomy co-star Katherine Heigl on her future appearances on the show.

“Hopefully I’ll make some appearances next year,” Pompeo explained. “If I can find some time. It’s not a complete goodbye. And I think we have an interesting story to tell.”

Along with Pompeo, Grey’s Anatomy Fans had to say goodbye to Kell McCreary, who has played Maggie Pierce on the show since season 11. In a statement, McCreary said it had been a tremendous honor to be part of such a legendary television institution.
