Get to know NFL expert Ian Rapoport with these 10 fun facts!

We had the opportunity to catch up with Ian and learn 10 fun facts about him, including facts about life with his family: his wife Leah and his children, Max and Jude.

  1. My sweet tastes are similar to that of a 5-year-old child. Favorite sweets? Pez and Smarties, and not the weird Canadian chocolate ones, but the delicious ones that are cousins ​​to sweet pies. I could also eat an entire box of Gobstoppers in one sitting (don’t judge).
  2. Whenever I have a free morning, I’m on the golf course. And recently, I had my first Eagle, making a 6-foot putt for a big celebration. But I’ve never had a hole in one and not only that, I’ve never come close to missing. Most likely you will simply miss the green. (face palm emoji).
  3. I met my wife Leah in Mississippi while covering the state of Mississippi for Clarion-Ledger, the first of four states we have lived in together. The others are Alabama, Texas, Massachusetts and New York. Many different license plates. However, I think we’re done moving for a while (ever).
  4. My first car was a red Ford Mustang convertible, automatic and V6 hahaha. I loved that car, even if everyone else rolled their eyes. I drove it from New York to Mississippi to get my first full-time job after college, all the way from top to bottom.
  5. I have two sons, Max (10) and Jude (8.5), and spend most afternoons and weekends helping to coach their many sports. From baseball to football to wrestling to golf to tennis, I’ll lend a hand when I can, giving them another chance to ignore me and do it the way they wanted to do it, anyway.

  1. No, I don’t have six phones. I have a telephone. I’m a firm believer in one phone. I only have one mouth and two pockets. Why would you need multiple phones? Plus, if I need to tweet something in the middle of a conversation, I can put my phone on speaker. It’s not my first rodeo.

It’s a lot of outfit changes for me and different hats for Leah. This year we walked the track before the Derby with our horse Jace’s Road, an amazing experience.
  4. Although I focus on soccer now, in college at Columbia I was a lightweight rower. Our crew team won the Ivy League title by a hair, one of the most exciting victories I’ve ever experienced (it wasn’t my boat, so I had a good view).
  5. My two biggest fears in life are heights and not having Wi-Fi. Let’s say… flying is an adventure! So many nerves.
