Fans can’t stop talking about how the veteran got his first STD test while on the show.
Gerry Turner, the 72-year-old ABC reality star The golden bachelor series, has narrowed down her potential suitors to two women for the final episode that will air this Thursday.
During the series, the veteran had some undeniably embarrassing moments that often left both fans and other contestants confused and…scared.
For example, Turner recently admitted to having to undergo an STD test for the first time while applying for the program. During a segment of Life is short podcast, Fox News reports that Turner revealed details about the lengthy audition process. Last year, she received the call while she was in Florida, and that’s when the casting team informed her of the rules she had to follow in order to participate in the show.
“I received a call from ABC, wanting me to come start the process to get an STD test. And it’s like it was a bit of a tender moment,” Turner admitted.
“I had to send my fingerprints to the FBI. There were numerous background checks. There was a psychological evaluation that was like 360 questions and then another hour of interview.
“As I remember, that may have been my first STD test, I had no idea what was going to happen. I didn’t know if they were going to look at the iris of my eye, take a urine sample, or a blood sample. I had no idea.”

To add, a presenter told the Good weather means podcast about another embarrassing moment she referred to as “the cupcake moment.”
The video then cuts to a scene from the show where the episode’s finalist, Theresa Nist, 70, and Turner were chatting about a cupcake intended for her birthday.

Theresa blew out the candle, a sweet moment we would say. However, things turned ugly after Turner smiled cheekily before asking Theresa if she would wipe the frosting off her lips if she took a bite.
The presenter visibly cringed as she said: “I was like, oh Gary, no.”
The father-of-two also put his foot in his mouth when he took his two potential suitors on one last date in last week’s episode.
A beautiful resort with stunning views was enough to get the emotions flowing, but it seems the ABC star just couldn’t keep her intrusive thoughts under control.
While Turner spent time with second runner-up Leslie Fhima, 64, viewers swooned over the beautiful date the two shared. The pair showed off their age-defying bodies in swimsuits as they jumped off a cliff and then relaxed in a pool. A kiss sealed the deal, but viewers just couldn’t get over Turner’s “sexy talk.”
One particular comment Turner made that didn’t sit well with viewers was when he was asked if he had been intimate with Fhima, to which he responded: “Just or…”.
“EXCUSE ME WHAT!?!?! HE DIDN’T JUST SAID THAT,” said one viewer on X.
“Sorry but the #GoldenBachelor is so embarrassing right now,” someone also wrote.
