Furthermore, when the BCCI tried to auction the franchise, the Reddys rejected a sole bid of Rs. Rs 900 crore from PVP Ventures. After BCCI ended the bid, the team owners went to court and got 30 days to improve the situation but to no avail. In July 2020; However, an arbitration tribunal appointed by the Bombay High Court ruled that the BCCI wrongfully terminated Deccan Chargers, and further ordered the BCCI to pay a compensation of Rs. Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited received Rs 4814.67 crore since 2012 besides 10% interest.

  • On 14 February 2015, due to Gayatri’s father’s promiscuous lifestyle, he and Gayatri’s uncle were remanded to CBI custody in the Canara Bank money-laundering case. Both the Reddys were accused of taking separate short-term corporate loans amounting to Rs. Rs 1230 crore by submitting false financial statements between 2008 and 2012. A report said that in the process of seizing Reddy’s properties by the Bureau, jewellery, luxurious wardrobes and apartments of Gayathri and her mother were also auctioned.
  • In October 2020, as the fraud case against DHCL progressed, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) revealed that the total amount involved in the fraud allegedly committed by the two Reddys was estimated to be Rs. 8,180 crores. Following this, the agency temporarily attached the immovable properties and confiscated expensive vehicles of the Reddy family. Reports also indicate that some of Reddy’s close family members may also be involved in the case.
