Right after Travis Kelce sang his rendition of Friends in low places At the Super Bowl parade in Kansas City, Garth Brooks invited the NFL star to perform the hit song at the opening of Honky Tonk and Bar in Nashville next month.
During the recent episode of his Inside studio GBrooks had nothing but praise for Kelce’s performance.
“Did you see Travis Kelce’s version of ‘Friends in Low Places?’ Did you see him sing this? I loved it, I thought it was fantastic,” Brooks stated. “I was surprised because I’m sitting there watching it fall, right? “I never expected that.”
Although he and his wife Trisha Yearwood weren’t planning to be at the bar’s opening, Garth Brooks said he would make an exception if Travis Kelce showed up. “Great man, I’m just telling you this. “I’ll be at the grand opening if you’re there,” Brooks explained.
“I’ll send you a plane if you want another shot at the title. If you want to come sing that, I’ll send you a plane. You can come alone or bring your brother or your gang, whatever you want to do. The plane can hold 11 people, just remember that.”
Brooks reaffirmed that he would be happy to send his plane to take Kelce to the inauguration. “So, yeah, I’d be happy to send you this invite if you want to try a little ‘Friends in Low Places’ at Friends in Low Places.”
Garth Brooks’ Honky Tonk and Bar will open its doors on March 7. The establishment will have four floors, and the first floor will have two bars and a dance floor.
The second floor will have two additional bars, as well as a mezzanine that overlooks the stage below. The third floor will have an intimate space for private events and a patio. The fourth floor will be covered with two bars.
