Faye D’Souza was born on Thursday, 8 October 1981 (age 37 years; as in 2018) in Chikmagalur, Karnataka. His zodiac sign is Libra. He did his schooling from a local school in Bengaluru. He studied Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru. He then obtained a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Mount Carmel College in 2002. He completed his master’s degree in Mass Communication from the Convergence Institute of Media, Management and Information Technology Studies (COMMITS), Bengaluru in 2004.
Faye’s career in journalism began while she was in college. She joined All India Radio (AIR), Bangalore and read news on the radio. Faye D’Souza’s journalism career started with CNBC-TV18. He had a backend job in financial journalism. Eventually, he started reporting on financial issues. Faye joined Times Now Network in 2007. He was appointed to ET Now, the financial channel of Times Now. He started hosting the Investor’s Guide show. The show was a huge hit and gained him widespread popularity. His show became a hit on the TRP charts and he got another show- “The Property Guide” on ET Now.
Faye always wanted to do something on women empowerment. In her show, The Investor’s Guide, she did a special segment that would guide women on where to invest, and how it would help them. ET Now gave him another show – The Urban Debate. It discussed social issues, social injustice and other issues that would help women fight inequality and how to overcome it. He did a special show with Radhika Apte focusing on the issue of women’s safety.
In 2015, Times Network launched a new channel, Magicbricks Now. Faye D’Souza was appointed editor-in-chief of the channel. The channel was started with a focus on real estate news. Faye D’Souza was given the task of increasing the channel ratings; Since it was a new channel. Faye did a good job and the channel grew very fast. In 2017, MagicBricks Now was renamed Mirror Now. After this the channel shifted its focus from just real estate news to general news.
His popular shows from ET Now – Investor’s Guide, Property Guide and The Urban Debate were revived on Mirror Now. The investor guide also had a sustainable section for women investors to help them make options that would be beneficial to them. She always wanted to do something good for the society and often invited members of the LGBTQ community on her show, “The Urban Debate”.

- On 4 March 2018, Faye retweeted the cover photo of Malayalam magazine, Grihalakshmi. The cover featured a picture of a woman breastfeeding her child and how society considers it taboo. Faye wrote in the caption of the tweet that there are private spaces in airports for individuals to smoke, but no spaces for women to breastfeed their children. The official Twitter handle of Mumbai Airport responded that there are several spaces available at Mumbai Airport where women can attend to the needs of their small children. Another user replied that all major airports in India have dotting rooms where women can take care of their babies. Faye was criticized and trolled for being the editor-in-chief of a leading news channel and not knowing such basic facts about airports.
