Variety reported that Ezra would only be present at one premiere before the film’s release later this month.
“Ezra wants the movie to open up and the conversation to be about the movie and not about Ezra,” a source told the outlet. “They are focused on his mental health and don’t want it to be a transaction.”
The decision may not have everything to do with the star either. Another insider claimed that the film is being kept under wraps to preserve a “secret ending” that has not been aired in its entirety during any trailers to date.
