Yungblud (real name Dominic Richard Harrison) is an English singer-songwriter who rose to fame after the release of his debut EP. yungblud in January 2018. The project contained previously released hit singles, including I love you, will you marry me?, king charlesand small bread. Yungblud released his second EP, the underrated youthone year after releasing their debut album, 21st century responsibility.

Yungblud feels that his parents did not teach him to love, as they constantly argued and fought.
Yungblud was born on August 5, 1997 in Doncaster, England, the son of Samantha and Justin Harrison. He grew up with two younger siblings: Jemima and Isabella.
Yungblud is famous for showing his soul in his music. The song Love song features the following lyrics: “Nobody taught me to love myself, so how can I love someone else?” That line references the tumultuous relationship his parents had. yungblud said People that his parents’ fights sometimes turned physical:

Yungblud almost lost his mother in a car accident just as his music career was starting to take off.
Yungblud’s main musical influences growing up were his grandfather and father. “My grandfather used to play songs for me when I was a child,” Yungblud said in an interview with POP TALKING ON THE SIDEWALK. “It was important to him and he made it important to me.”
Yungblud’s rise as a global star coincided with a family tragedy. Yungblud almost lost his mother in a car accident, but luckily she recovered. The singer lights up with joy every time he talks about his mother in interviews, and it’s clear that she shares a deep affection for him. On December 14, 2018, he dedicated the following tweet to his mother:
“Mom told me that girls are too strong and smart to be underestimated because she is one of them. Her name is Sam by the way. I fucking love mom.”
