SAG-AFTRA’s strike continues on…but there are several projects that have received waivers or are exempt from the strike rules.
The union – which represents 160,000 movie and television actors – is striking against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. The AMPTP was formed to represent the studios, streaming services and broadcast networks in their labor negotiations with unions.
During the strike, actors are not allowed to film any projects or promote their work. This could mean a huge lack of content is coming in the months and years ahead. However, there’s a few loopholes that are keeping a few projects on the ground.
