Ahsoka is one of the most-anticipated Star Wars projects of the next few years, and here is every piece of marketing for the upcoming series released thus far. Ahsoka was first announced in December 2020 as part of The Mandalorian‘s timeline in the New Republic era. Centering on the titular character first introduced in animated form via Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka will outline the search for the villainous Grand Admiral Thrawn – played by Lars Mikkelsen – by the former Jedi played by Rosario Dawson.

As the series is centering on one of Star Wars’ most beloved characters, the anticipation is rivaling that of mainline Star Wars movies. Similarly, the show is expected to be a pseudo-sequel to Star Wars Rebels meaning Ahsoka will include many characters from the former such as Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, and Grand Admiral Thrawn himself. With excitement only growing ahead of the show’s August 23, 2023, release date, here is every piece of marketing revealed for Ahsoka thus far from trailers and TV spots to exclusive images.

8 Ahsoka’s Official Teaser Trailer From Star Wars Celebration

Revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2023, Ahsoka‘s official teaser trailer was the first marketing material released for the show. The trailer offered the first glimpses at the show’s story, from Ahsoka tracking down Thrawn to the first looks at Star Wars Rebels‘ characters in live-action. Also introduced in the first trailer were the supporting antagonists of the show. The late Ray Stevenson and Ivanna Sakhno first debuted as dual Force wielders Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati respectively. Also highlighted was Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, returning from The Mandalorian season 2, and Star Wars’ Grand Admiral Thrawn though the trailer tantalizingly hid his face.

7 Ahsoka’s Second Trailer Gives A Glimpse Of Grand Admiral Thrawn

A second trailer finally gave viewers a glimpse of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the alien Imperial destined to return as the heir to the Empire. This second trailer focuses on the relationship between Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren, setting up Natasha Liu Bordizzo’s Sabine as a surprising former Padawan to Ahsoka. It’s a reminder to viewers that a lot has changed in the years between Star Wars Rebels season 4 and Ahsoka.

6 Ahsoka’s “Begin” Official TV Spot

Another piece of marketing released for the Ahsoka show was a TV spot titled “Begin”. The TV spot is essentially a shortened version of the trailer, offering similar looks at the show’s cast of characters. In the TV spot, as well as the trailer above, are Genevieve O’Reilly returning as Mon Mothma and David Tennant’s lightsaber-building droid Huyang alongside the other characters mentioned. The biggest reveal of the “Begin” TV spot was Natasha Liu Bordizzo’s Sabine Wren wielding a green lightsaber against Shin Hati in combat, something not shown in the first teaser trailer.

The poster is an extreme close-up of the titular character, with the show’s title and release date nestled at the bottom between Ahsoka’s montrals. While not revealing much in the way of story, the poster served as a perfect tease for fans excited to see the first piece of marketing for the highly-anticipated show that is set to change the course of the New Republic era in Star Wars forever.

4 Ahsoka Images Teases Her Work With Hera & Huyang

An Ahsoka image released by Total Film showing the titular character in front of a blurry Hera and Huyang

In the period between Ahsoka‘s release date and the first teaser trailer being released, many new images from the show have surfaced online to whet the appetites of fans. One such image, released by Total Film (via Games Radar) teases Ahsoka working with returning Rebels and Clone Wars characters alike. The image showcases Ahsoka standing in front of a holo map, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Hera Syndulla and the aforementioned droid Huyang standing in the background. Huyang will likely accompany Ahsoka on her journey, with the droid having worked with her during Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

This image though, teases a different type of role for Hera than the one in Star Wars Rebels. Hera appears in the image via hologram, meaning she likely will not accompany Ahsoka on her journey as a pilot as many assumed. Instead, Hera could be the liaison between Ahsoka and the New Republic, aiding the former Jedi by making sure the New Republic is aware of Thrawn’s imminent return.

3 A Mystery Inquisitor Is Highlighted In An Exclusive Ahsoka Image

Starkiller and Ahsoka Inquisitor in Star Wars.

In an image released by Empire, the return of Star Wars’ Inquisitors is teased for Ahsoka. The Inquisitors were a group of Force-sensitive hunters who worked for Darth Vader during the time of the Galactic Empire, hunting down Jedi survivors of Order 66. While many thought the Inquisitors were a thing of the past after the defeat of the Empire during Return of the Jedi, this image confirms that Ahsoka will feature at least one of the infamous Jedi hunters.

Since this image was revealed, many theories have spawned attempting to explain Ahsoka‘s mystery Inquisitor. From theories stating that Barriss Offee – a former ally-turned-traitor of Ahsoka during The Clone Wars – is the Inquisitor hunting Ahsoka to the hopes that the Inquisitor will actually be Galen Marek/Starkiller, Darth Vader’s apprentice, made canon, the image caused much debate among the Star Wars community. Regardless of who awaits beneath the mask, the Inquisitor’s inclusion in Ahsoka is certainly intriguing, especially given their lack of appearance in the Star Wars timeline after A New Hope.

2 An Exclusive Ahsoka Image Reveals The Jedi Standing In Front Of A Holo Map

Another exclusive Ahsoka image revealed by Empire is similar to the one featuring Hera and Huyang. In this image, Ahsoka can be seen standing in front of a similar holo map, likely planning out her journey to find Thrawn. Despite not offering a lot in the way of reveals, the image offers one of the best looks at Ahsoka’s live-action design for the upcoming Ahsoka series.

1 The Official Magazine Covers Of Ahsoka For Empire

Ahsoka Tano and Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Some of the final images revealed thus far as part of Ahsoka‘s marketing campaign are the official covers for Empire Magazine. One of them centers solely on Ahsoka, showing the former Jedi wielding her dual white lightsabers. Ahsoka is shown standing in the ruins of the Jedi temple that is seen in the official teaser trailer, offering a better look at the disheveled pillars etched with designs that look akin to Star Wars‘ World Between Worlds.

The second cover, an exclusive for Empire subscribers, provides more of a tease of Grand Admiral Thrawn. The artwork shows Ahsoka’s face in black and white, surrounded by the looming silhouette of Thrawn. The image teases the showdown to come between the two characters.

While Thrawn’s inclusion in the series is one of the most anticipated aspects, the marketing has made the character largely absent. Thrawn’s role has been kept mostly under wraps, and his face has only briefly been seen. Hopefully, this continued rivalry between Ahsoka and Thrawn in the Ahsoka show will be showcased more overtly as more trailers, TV spots, and images are released in the run-up to the show’s August 2023 release.
