Emma Dyer Portner was born on Saturday, November 26, 1994 (age 26 years; as in 2020), in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Their zodiac sign is Sagittarius. At the age of three, she started dancing at a competitive studio in Ottawa. He also spent two summers with The National Ballet of Canada in Toronto. She attended Canterbury High School and studied under a special arts program in their dance stream. In her teens, she trained at Leeming Danceworks, where she discovered her passion for moving and creating across all genres. At Leeming Danceworks, she worked with choreographers Teddy Forance, Nathan Macolandra, Matt Luck, Erin Waltman, and David Norsworthy, to name a few. At the age of 17, she moved from Ottawa to New York City to study dance at The Ailey School. Before Elle, she tried out for The Juilliard School but was rejected. After studying at The Alley School for a few years, she left the school due to mental health problems. In 2013, she studied tap dance in Michelle Dorrance’s class at the Broadway Dance Center in NYC. In 2014, she trained with Canadian dance company Rubberbandance. In 2015, he participated in Springboard Danse Montreal, a Canadian arts organization. After living in New York City for four years, she moved to Los Angeles. She is a gay woman.

Emma started her career as a dance assistant. While studying at Leeming Artworks, he met Los Angeles-based dancer Matt Luck, with whom he choreographed and recorded ‘Dancing in the Dark’ and posted it on YouTube; She was only sixteen years old at that time.

Portner started her own dance company called ‘Flock’d’ in New York City, now Emma Portner & Artists. He has taught classes in New York, Los Angeles, and Canada. She has been a member of Dorrance Dance, a New York-based tap dance company. She teaches contemporary and jazz at the Broadway Dance Center in New York. Additionally, she also taught at Intrigue Dance Intensive and PeriDance Center in New York City.

In June 2019, American media owner Scooter Braun’s label acquired Big Machine Records, giving Braun’s label ownership of American singer Taylor Swift’s first six studio albums.
